popeKEEP HOPE ALIVE with REV. JESSE JACKSON Radio Show
Website Synopsis
Sunday, September 27, 2015

Let’s talk about the visit of Pope Francis to the United States of America…

His powerful words and humble example have moved us all…

Pope Francis named four Americans whose works shaped our lives and our values…

It was wonderful to hear him name— PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN; REV. DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.; DOROTHY DAY; and, FATHER THOMAS MERTON—as persons worthy of adulation and emulation…

And, into this already tumultuous political season the Pope brought civility and common sense…

He reminded Congress that their legislative activity is “to enable this country…to grow as a nation” and that they are called to “defend and preserve the dignity of your fellow citizens in tireless and demanding pursuit of the COMMON GOOD, for THIS IS THE CHIEF AIM OF POLITICS…”

Pope Francis seamlessly fused Godly principles into his message—and through the fabric of our day-to-day lives…Falling neither Right nor Left, he walked right down the middle, embracing everyone while adhering to his deeply-held morals and beliefs…

Yet, questions and loving critique remain…

What do you think about the Pope’s visit? Has he made a difference to you personally? Do you believe the Pope should be in political policy or out of it?

Let’s talk everybody…
