Getting up at 3:30 a.m. to get to the airport by 4:30 a.m. is never fun.  But it was for a Fund for Theological Education (FTE) Alumni consultation meeting; so I felt alright about compromising my sleeping hours. This is a repost of my blog on Patheos. It is entitled “Through Hispanic Eyes-Theological Education and White Privilege.”

‘Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with lakes, rivers, mountains, rainforests and of course picturesque beaches. I received a warm welcome at the airport in San Juan: 92 degrees with 74% humidity. Despite the hot, humid weather conditions, I went with eagerness to explore the culture, history, and tradition of Puerto Rico and reflect upon theological education in light of Hispanic theology.’ Link
