I am pleased to repost Bruce Reyes-Chow’s blog “Top Church Blogs”. I am very happy that he included me in his “Top 10 List!” Bruce Reyes-Chow is a native Northern Californian and 3rd generation Chinese/Filipino. From 2000-2011 he was the founding pastor of a 20/30-something church in SF and in 2008 was elected Moderator of the 218th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). He now makes his way an adjunct seminary instructor, a writer, speaker and social media consultant.
This is a repost of my blog on Patheos. It is entitled “Through Hispanic Eyes-Theological Education and White Privilege.”
‘Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with lakes, rivers, mountains, rainforests and of course picturesque beaches. I received a warm welcome at the airport in San Juan: 92 degrees with 74% humidity. Despite the hot, humid weather conditions, I went with eagerness to explore the culture, history, and tradition of Puerto Rico and reflect upon theological education in light of Hispanic theology.’ Link
