This is my new article “Hope for Peace in a Broken World: 1 Chronicles, Exile and Building Walls” for Religions 9 (2016): 136-146.
The 9th issue will be about “Peace in a World of Conflicts”. The stated goal of the great world religions is to establish peace both within the world and between God and human beings. It is not a small paradox that today religion is frequently portrayed as a great disturber of peace both insides the communities and in international affairs at large. The forthcoming issue of Religions/Adyan will reflect upon the ways world religions conceive peace and can contribute to restore it in our trouble times. Continue reading

I attended the COP20 meeting in Peru as part of the World Council of Churches delegation.
One important climate change event was held at Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, in Lima Peru, where Dr. Jeffrey Sachs (director of the Earth Institute, Columbia University) was the plenary speaker.

My second book, The Holy Spirit, Chi and the Other was released last year on October 11, 2011. To celebrate its publication, I will be posting a series of book reviews which have come out in the past year. The first review comes from Sheri Kling who reviewed my book in the journal, Interreligious Dialogue.
“In this worthy addition to inter-religious dialogue and inter-cultural dialogue, Grace Ji-Sun Kim introduces the term “Spirit-Chi” and builds a strong case for her assertion that the Holy Spirit as present in the Christian tradition is more resonant than dissimilar to the Eastern concept of Chi found in Taoism, Hinduism and Buddhism.
