I am not a dancer.

I am not even remotely a good dancer. But I have always wanted to take dance lessons. During my High School, our Korean Presbyterian Church rented an old church building in mid town Toronto. The building was old and had a large fellowship hall with a wooden floor and a small balcony which wrapped around the entire hall. It was a beautiful fellowship hall.

My daughter, Elisabeth Sophia Lee, will be dancing at the Miller Symphony Hall this coming weekend. Hope you get a chance to watch her. Unfortunately, I am speaking in LA and will miss this special event.

photo copy 4My daughter dances at the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley. The school has “parent observation week” twice a year.  It was a true delight to watch her dance last night!  Below is a short reflection from my daughter.

Now that Nutcracker is over and the weather is getting colder, I’ve been relaxing and overcoming the soreness from dancing in the Nutcracker. The cold weather caused my bones and muscles to freeze and become frigid and since I haven’t been dancing for a while due to Christmas break, it was hard for me to get in the same routine of going to dance classes four times a week. My daughter has been dancing since she was 3 years old.  She just got her new pointe shoes and is trying them on.  She dances at the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley.

Dancing is my life. I really don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t dance. I compare dancing to walking on a path. As every year passes I think I’ve walked a mile.

My dancing career started at the local YMCA when I was just three years old.  After one year, I moved to a more advanced school called Kathleen A. Magyar.  Presently, I dance at the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley where I dance ballet (pointe) and jazz. Continue reading →

September came in like a lion.

Three kids mean three different school shopping trips.  Each kid requires new clothes, uniforms and new school supplies.  This school shopping has become a greater chore which I like even less towards each year.
