On this Good Friday, we can remember the women who followed Jesus. The women never abandoned Jesus as the men did. The women were at the cross, the women were at the burial and the women were at the tomb. It was the women who went out and shared the good news. Let us uplift women’s voices as women continue to preach, teach and lead.

On this Good Friday, you can listen to my madang podcast Ep. 1 with Diana Butler Bass where she discusses her new book “Freeing Jesus”. it is a new way to understand the life of Jesus and Jesus’ presence in our lives today.

My first guest is Dr. Diana Butler Bass. She has a Ph.D. from Duke University. She is the author of over 10 award winning books. Today, I talk to her on her latest book Freeing Jesus. It is such an important book for us today as we try to reconcile some of our pains of growing up in the church and what Jesus as friend, teacher, Savior, Lord, way, and presence means to us today.
We discussed Quakers, memoir theology, decolonization, Bible and so much more. Listen or watch my first episode of madang.
