Reimagining the Spirit: A conversation with Grace Ji-Sun Kim
The Spirit is mysterious and complex, generating misunderstanding and lack of awareness of how the Spirit functions. But the Spirit’s chameleon-like nature opens an opportunity for study to unearth the exciting truths. We see the Spirit in our world in various forms. The Holy Spirit has always been the mover and shaker of ideas and action. We can reimagine the Spirit as light, wind, and vibration which invites us to work for climate justice, racial justice and gender justice.

Grace Ji-Sun Kim is a Korean American theologian. Her many books include Mother Daughter Speak (2017), Embracing the Other (2015), and Colonialism, Han, and the Transformative Spirit (2013). Kim was born in South Korea and raised in Canada. She holds a PhD in systematic theology from the University of Toronto and is an associate professor of theology at Earlham School of Religion in Richmond, Indiana. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
