Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim

Listen in as WAP associate Caroline Triscik interviews Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim, co-author of Healing Our Broken Humanity (IVP). In this conversation Dr. Kim offers her perspective on how the Church can be renewed through both individual and communal spiritual practices. Dr. Kim invites us to consider a variety of practices, including lament, peacemaking, and restoring justice, as well as the role of the Holy Spirit in revitalizing the Church.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Caroline Triscik

Caroline has served with InterVarsity since 2002 as a campus staff member in northwest Indiana and most recently in central Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor’s degree in English with a focus on creative writing from Purdue University in 2002 and is currently working toward a master’s in clinical mental health counseling at Messiah College. Caroline, her husband, John, and their three children live in “the sweetest place on earth,” otherwise known as Hershey, Pennsylvania. In her spare time, she likes to read, discover new music, and attempt to train her uncontrollably exuberant Labrador retriever, Pax. Caroline is an associate with Women in the Academy and Professions.

Grace Ji-Sun Kim

Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim is an Associate Professor of Theology at Earlham School of Religion, as well as the author or editor of 15 books, most recently, Healing Our Broken Humanity; Intercultural Ministry; and Embracing the Other. She is a co-editor of the Palgrave Macmillan Book Series, “Asian Christianity in Diaspora.” Kim is on the American Academy of Religion’s Board of Directors as an At-Large Director. She writes for The Huffington Post, Sojourners, TIME, and more of her writing can be found on her own website. Englewood Review of Books included her in the list of “Ten Important Women Theologians That You Should Be Reading.” Kim is an ordained minister within the PC (USA) denomination.
