Remarks

“YOU RAPE OUR WOMEN AND YOU’RE TAKING OVER OUR COUNTRY—AND YOU HAVE TO GO”—and thus began the Charleston Massacre…

21-year-old Dylann Storm Roof—rose up in the Wednesday evening prayer service at Charleston, South Carolina’s historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church—reloaded his gun five times and committed a massacre—killing six women and three men—having shot each person multiple times…

Chillingly, he spared the life of Felecia Sanders, who had played dead as she lay atop her daughter in order to protect her, stating: “I’m not going to shoot you because I want you to tell everyone what happened”…

Roof targeted “Mother Emanuel”—the historic Church investigated for its involvement in the slave rebellion of Denmark Vesey—in the season of JUNETEENTH—FREEDOM DAY, the holiday that commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas and, more generally, the emancipation of Black slaves throughout the Confederate South…

20150621_073046Thankfully, his Father and Uncle called the police after recognizing him on video footage that emerged after this assassination and massacre…

●But, on today—“Father’s Day”—one has to wonder how did this Father and Uncle—these male role models—shape a 21-year-old?
●How could they raise a son who expressed no remorse or shame after committing such horrifying acts?
●Did they know that he wanted to “save the White race”?
●Why did no one in his community try to stop him? Indeed, he told his friend Christon Scriven that he was planning to “kill a bunch of people”…
●Why didn’t that STATED IDEA sound the alarms?

Let’s talk: Call 1.866.594.HOPE…1.866.594.4673…
