Rev. Dr. Mitzi J. Smith (Ph.D., Harvard) first founded Living in Full Empowerment, Inc. in the summer of 2007. Dr. Smith realized that some of her students lacked basic writing skills. That summer she conducted her first successful basic writing workshop. Dr. Smith temporarily shelved the vision, but in July 2011, she resurrected it. Our purpose continues to be the empowerment of women & communities. We, unfortunately, had to cancel the 2012 Inaugural Women’s Conference in the Detroit metro area scheduled for July 26-28 due to low registration numbers. We have rescheduled the conference for June 21-23, 2013. LivFullE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation.
