It was an honor to be invited to be the Guest Speaker at Synod of British Columbia in White Rock, B.C. (Oct 19-21, 2012). I gave three presentations on the theme of “The Body of Christ”. It is important to reimagine the body of Christ as we live in a global world and people of various backgrounds come to live in North America. New forms of multiracial ministries and ethnic ministries need to be conceived as we live in an interracial society. Before my last presentation, my daughter sang an impromptu song, “Morning Star” before the synod. I also preached at St. John’s Presbyterian Church whose senior minister is Rev. Willem van der Westhuizen and at VKPC Lighthouse Ministries whose ministers are Rev. Samuel Lee & Rev. Cheol Soon Park on Sunday Oct. 21, 2012.
At the synod meeting, Rev. Wendy Adams was the outgoing moderator and a new moderator, Rev. Meridyth Robertson was installed. The clerk of synod is Rev. Herb Hilder.
It was wonderful to meet some of my former Knox College classmates and other PCC friends.
